Costa Brava Villa Holidays in Spain
The Costa Brava - the 'wild coast' - is where Catalonia's pine forested
hillsides meet rugged cliffs interspersed with bays of golden sand. Despite its
name, the Costa Brava is sheltered by the Pyrenees and enjoys a sunny climate -
the sandy beaches and friendly resorts are perfect for family Spanish villa
holidays. The region has so much to offer - culture-lovers will want to see
Barcelona, the capital of Catalonia, as well as numerous historical sites,
ancient villages, museums and art galleries. Sports enthusiasts can enjoy
windsurfing, sailing, diving, horse riding, tennis and golf, while other
visitors will be looking to take it easy and enjoy the local Catalan cuisine and
top quality regional wines. Our quality villas in Costa Brava offer an ideal
base for exploring all the possibilities of this fascinating and beautiful
region.

a fascinating history, art and architecture, influenced by North African as well as European
culture can be explored first hand by guests whilst staying at one of our villas for rent
in Spain. Our Spainish villas are set in stunning landscapes or picturesque towns up and
down the Costa Brava, with restaurants offering local specialities, especially fresh seafood
and the famous piri-piri chicken.
Sporty types are spoilt for choice with world-class golf courses and other sporting facilities never
far from VillaCentre's holiday villas in Spain. You can enjoy all of this and more when you stay
in one of VillaCentre’s Costa Brava villas for rent.
The coves and beaches of Aigua Blava are some of the prettiest in Spain. This is
a densely wooded area with high quality property developments and some of the
most exclusive villas in Costa Brava. Beachside restaurants are excellent,
offering locally caught fish as their speciality.
Below the hill town of Begur, tucked away in the many hidden coves of the Costa
Brava, lie the picturesque fishing villages of Aigua Freda, Sa Riera and Sa
Tuna, with excellent beaches for sun worshippers and crystal clear waters for
bathing. Close by are shops where you can buy local handicrafts, and good
restaurants serving local specialities, often the day's catch.
Nestling between the Gavarres hills and the beautiful coastline lies the
hilltop town of Begur. The town is marked with a medieval castle and is full of
colonial style houses and old fishermen's huts. Our clients choose villas in
Begur in order to soak up the historic culture or to engage in activities
available nearby including hiking, cycling or simply a relaxed stroll through
the cobbled streets. Begur offers a wide range of restaurants serving their
traditional coastal cuisine of 'sea and land' dishes and Platillos. The
neighbouring town of Pals is another medieval hilltop town full of culture and
activites to suit all tastes.
Casa de Campo is a select development just a few kilometres from Palafrugell,
one of the region's larger towns. A genuine Catalonian atmosphere prevails in
the Palafrugell area with traditional music and dancing in the central square,
and a regional market that seems to take over the town on Sundays. A short
distance out towards the coast takes you to Calella de Palafrugell, one of the
most sought after areas of the Costa Brava. It is a popular resort for locals
and holidaymakers alike, with a number of small coves and sandy beaches lapped
by crystal clear waters. The resort has a wide selection of bars and restaurants
along the beach front. Tucked into the next bay is Llafranc, a beautiful half
moon sandy bay with a bustling marina. Whilst here try a 'cremat' - a typical
tropical drink of the fishing villages of this region.
La Bisbal is a medieval market town famous for its many pottery shops which line
the streets. Every Friday there is a street market selling all kinds of local
produce. The waters around this area are considered to be among the best on the
coast and there are many beautiful beaches within easy reach.
Sant Feliu has a strong maritime tradition evident in its fishing port, and a
surprising historical heritage with monuments dating back to the 12th century.
But nowadays the town is also known as a thriving commercial and tourist centre,
offering a multitude of entertainment, sporting activities and facilities. A
wide range of bars and restaurants are available, with freshly caught fish often
the speciality.
